This week I will be overwhelming busy but busy is good. So sorry if i take a blog breather. My internship is having more to do and its crunch time in summer school. Lots of presentations to prepare for. Working an extra day at the salon. And I'm making an effort to spend more time with my friends. Tomorrow night, I'm going to enjoy happy hour with one of my littles, Marsha, and sushi with friends Friday night! I can't wait =) On Thursday, I'll be meeting the family, I'll nanny for. I hope everything goes well. Then Saturday is my one year anniversary with Kevin! Time flies.

Food for Thought

If you haven't seen this website, thisiswhyyourefat.com, you totally should!
It's absolutely ridiculous yet amazing. The site is composed of photo submissions of the craziest creations. Everything is deep fried, double stuffed, chocolate dipped and bacon wrapped. I love junk food but this takes it to a new level. So I had this random idea to make some of these crazy creations & blog about it, of course. I love cooking and baking but it might be a challenge for my stomach & waistline.

What should I make first?

Here are some examples:
The Lurther Rory
A one third pound of sirloin topped with two slices of American cheese, four strips of bacon, peanut butter between two Krispy Kreme donuts.

Double Cheeseburger Po-Boy
A 14inch po-boy with six eight ounce cheeseburger patties.

Delightful Danville

I'm spending the night at Kevin's in Danville.
Cute & Quaint little town.
His dogs (Paco & Emma) bark all the time but they're growing on me.
I've haven't been home to San Diego in months & probably won't be there until Thanksgiving so I really love being here and the feeling of home and all it's comforts.

What are your plans this weekend?

Good Morning!

It's a chilly Tuesday morning in San Francisco. My day started off bright & early. I was at work by 8am. I needed a warm pick me up but Starbuck had a line out the door. So instead I went to La Boulange and it was amazing! They had beautiful pasteries, organic breads and so many goodies. I had coffee and a mini turkey, cheddar & pesto sandwich. Delicious! Definitely found my new favorite spot on Union St.

After work, I'm going to help simulate the economic. Nordy's annual sale! Can't wait =)

My dad

Happy Birthday Dad.
My dad passed away a year & a half ago and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. Wondering if I'm making him proud or wishing I had more time to spend with him. I miss him so much and get brought to tears every time I think about him. I often think about not having him with me at different milestones of my life, like my college graduation or walking me down the aisle. He'll always be in heart and I'll always be daddy's little girl.

Love Love LOve

Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Classic Q- Hillier' Hobo
I've been looking for a new everyday bag for awhile now and this might be the one. I love the simplicity and functionality. I can probably fit a gazillion things it in.
Love it but still looking around

Theory-Raineria Dress
I was doing some shopping for a friend's baby shower and I love this dress. The baby shower is months away but it never hurts to look. I adore the fit of the dress, so feminine yet very appropriate for a baby shower.

Muni Crash at West Portal

Yesterday, as I was leaving work a client came wanted to tan. She was sweet and said it's OK & she'll come back later. But I stayed longer and allowed her to tan anyways since she was already at the salon and it's was the least I could do. good karma coming... A little time went by and I was able to go home. I did what I usually do, walk up to Union & Van Ness got on the bus and got off at Van Ness Station to muni. It was a short wait then the L came. But before I went on I had second thoughts but I figured it was a sign the L came because I need to go to Safeway near Tavaral & 19th. It was a normal afternoon ride, not very crowd, made the usual stop then at Forest Hill station the driver inform us their was an incident at West Portal station and we had to wait about 15 minutes or so. A few moments went by, some people got off but I didn't think anything of it. I was almost home at West Portal. Then the driver suggests the incident is a little major and the train wasn't moving. Still I'm very calm because there was nothing pressing I had to do. Luckily, it was a short walk from Forest Hill to my house in West Portal. I was curious to find out what all the fuss in West Portal was. As my walked the station, I heard sirens and see tons of police cars, fire trunks & ambulance. People were everywhere and it was chaos. I walked closer and saw that two muni trips run into each other! It was the trains before mine. The crash was so frighten and the passengers from the trains getting medical attention looked horrified. So...... if I didn't stay later to tan the client, I would have been all those trains. And if I didn't get on the L train, I wouldn't be able to walk home from Forest Hill to West Portal. 48 people injured & 4 severely, I hope they are all OK & well.

What do you make of this?

Julie and Julia

I am anxiously awaiting to see "Julie and Julia", just thrilled! I love both Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Both are amazing actresses so to see them in one moving is exciting. Also, one of my greatest childhood memories was watching Julia Child with my mom. This summer I've been really inspired to learn more about cooking, baking and dinner parties. All lovely reasons to be around the people you love. I think this movie will also light the fire of the blogger inside of me. You heard it here first, after this movie: Everyone will have a blog especially girls! I'm happy I'll be ahead of the curve.

What summer movie are you excited to see
or Have seen?

Kevin's Rasta Cupcakes

This summer, I've been getting more interested in baking, especially cupcakes. So for Kevin's birthday, I wanted to do something really special. The cupcakes were super fun to decorate, we did it together. And they tasted amazing, for baking them in a convention oven because I don't have a standard oven. It's my little oven that could.... make miracles and tasty food =)

Reality Show Junkie!

Real Housewives of Atlanta Countdown 16 days!! I love NENE <3>

Big Brother is back on
& I couldn't be more excited. I've seriously watched every season, I'm obsessed! Don't ask me why, It just is what is it. I usually have a favorite towards the middle of the game. It's only been one episode and first impression are hard to determine. I think Jesse being back gives him a total advantage. But it's a mental and physical game so we'll see. I'm already annoyed with Natalie. Lying about her age will bite her in the butt. She's 24 year old but told the house she's 18. sureee....

Im back..Again!!

I'm jumping back on the blogging again. and hopefully this time I can stick in with them. I first thought creating a blog would be an an amazing way of some what keeping a journal, set goals, meet them and also network and communicate with family and friends. The huge problem I encountered was that many people in my social circle don't have blogs or that I know have so the chance to share was limited. I guess, this blogging is to help reach outside your physical social circle which I like. Another problem was that I was so busy with work, school and my internships.

But recently, I've beginning to understand the value of blogs and especially the growth of social media. At my internship at Graham and Associates (a public relations firm), I'm the social media intern so I'm learning so much about how the communication is changing. Along with that, I'm taking a Public Relations course during summer school and already had my first day. It's drilled in Social Media! Social Media! She talked about entering the working world and companies want to know who you are before walking in for an interview and the Intern is where they look first so I want to be able to control my own pr. lol kinda crazy

Along with making a better effort with blogging & I've got a twitter! yes...twitter! My pr teacher says it's a good idea and might help me get a good grade in the class. So trying new thing can't hurt sooo here we gooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I guess I'm the worst blogger ever. No entries in a month. So busy with school, work and alpha phi. Summer is so close & I'm very excited for a little break.

Well, San Diego was amazing! So great being around family and friends. Kevin got to eat the best Mexican food of his life. =) Finals are coming up & I'm pretty nervous. Studying is never fun but just have to push through. I officially bought my ticket to LAS VEGAS so I can't wait =)

Time

I first read this when I was graduating High School going the college. The message touched me then and it still resonates something inside me every time I read it....

Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400, carries over no balance from the day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out every last cent, of course!

Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lot whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposit, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow". You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest is so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today...

To realize the value of ONE YEAR,
Ask a student who has failed their exam.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH,
Ask a month who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK,
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE DAY,
Ask a daily laborer who has five kids to feed.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR,
Ask lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE,
Ask a person who has missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND,
Ask the person who won the silver medal at the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you share it with someone special...
...special enough to have your time...and remember, time waits for no one.
